Project Media

We're sure you realized how plain our old media app was. It was simply a page of links that would take you to another site with the music. Well, as part of the plan for 2010, we fixed that! Project Media (formerly Unseen Music) has endured several changes over the past week or so. First of, we gave it a new name. It turns out that users like yourself tend to want all apps to stay within one site. Rather than being sprawled through several different ones. We re-named it so the flow of the name would be consistent with our normal name. Second, we created a streamline navigation system which will allow users to check lyrics, videos and search for new media. Users also have the option to get ringtones from three different hosts now. (us, myxer, and flycell). We've combined all the playlists into one page with each individual playlist still hosted on the old Unseen Music site (saves us some bandwidth). We also allow users to share playlists, directly link to certain playlists (for sharing on social sites or email/IM), and change the color of the playlists.

Project Media fully utilizes the Project 2.0 setting bar. The settings in this bar will be different from in over settings bars across the site. In this one, there will be linking options, color/theme settings, show/hide modules, and command buttons. (their uses are a secret right now).
This app also uses a rotating fact generator to display interesting music facts. Along with our new (soon-to-be site wide pop up box).

Project Media still has features in testing.

New Settings Bar

The new plan for 2010 is coming along nicely. We will soon offer a settings tab that will not only be on the home application, but will also be on our new downloads center. While settings found in the home settings bar will be different from those found for downloads, they both consist of customizing options to enhance your experience. Settings found in the home settings, will apple to the entire site. Yes, that means you can finally change the theme of Project. (Please note that this feature uses a cookie stored on your computer, and doesn't link your settings to your account). Furthermore, the settings you choose do not effect your profile theme. That is still a project we are working on, and will not be released until we finish. Some features for the home settings include, but are not limited to: the ability to change themes and add content to your homepage, change site preferences from one box, open off-site links in a new tab, and increase and decrease the font size. These new features and many more will be applied as soon as they are finished, and will be supported by our technical teams within the next 24 hours.
